1.Caustic soda, also known as: sodium hydroxide (caustic soda flake, solid base,
liquid caustic soda), caustic soda; Huo Jian; caustic soda.

2.Caustic soda Molecular formula: NaOH. Commercially available are solid caustic
soda flake caustic soda and liquid caustic soda two kinds: pure white solid
caustic soda, caustic soda flakes loaded with blocks, rod-like caustic soda,
granular caustic soda, crisp; pure liquid (caustic soda) for colorless
transparent liquid. Of solid caustic soda has very strong hygroscopicity.
Soluble in water, dissolved when the heat, alkaline aqueous solution, there are
creamy feel; soluble in ethanol and glycerin; do not dissolve in acetone, ethyl
ether. Highly corrosive, for fiber, skin, glass, ceramics are corrosion. With
metal aluminum and zinc, boron and silicon and other non-metallic reaction to
release hydrogen; with chlorine, bromine, iodine and other halogen
disproportionation reaction; with the acids and the role played in the formation
of salt and water.
